Greater Minneapolis Council of Churches true strength is in our ability to mobilize caring people to make a difference.  Please consider volunteering your time to the Paint-A-Thon by contacting paintathon@gmcc.org.

Metro Paint-A-Thon coordinates groups and individual volunteers to paint the homes of low-income seniors and the physically disabled. By generously donating their time and talents, volunteers allow homeowners to continue living independently, benefiting not only the homeowner, but the neighborhood and the community. We’d love to have you joins us!

Tree Trust was created in 1976 to address two problems in our communities: the devastation of the urban tree canopy due to Dutch elm disease and the high unemployment and poverty rates for youth and adults at the time.  More than 40 years later, we continue this legacy by providing comprehensive employment readiness training and support services to young people, and by caring for the urban forest in the face of the invasive pest, the emerald ash borer.

By Transforming Lives and Landscapes, our programs:
*provide meaningful opportunities for greening our local community;
*give youth the chance to gain work experience, boost their self-confidence and find positive direction;
*teach practical job skills to youth and young adults to help reshape their lives; and
*help volunteers connect with their community and the outdoors.
*Spring opportunities as well as the Type of Volunteer Activities
