Get Outside to Volunteer! Sign up to help seniors with Fall Raking

Come help Senior Community Services HOME Program provide Fall Raking and Yard Clean-up for seniors in our community. It’s a great way to volunteer AND get outside AND help someone right in our community! It’s fun and flexible, we schedule fall raking 7 days a week from mid-October through the end of November, so you can pick the day and time that works best for your group (during daylight hours!)

We are looking for volunteer groups of all sizes and ages (7+) to help seniors with Fall Raking throughout Minneapolis and Suburban Hennepin County. Our volunteers help seniors stay in their homes by providing help with outdoor chores they are unable to do themselves. Great for Corporate work teams, families, scouts, faith groups, or anyone looking to volunteer outside!

If you are looking for an excuse to get outside and do good, join us!

Greater Minneapolis Council of Churches true strength is in our ability to mobilize caring people to make a difference.  Please consider volunteering your time to the Paint-A-Thon by contacting paintathon@gmcc.org.

Metro Paint-A-Thon coordinates groups and individual volunteers to paint the homes of low-income seniors and the physically disabled. By generously donating their time and talents, volunteers allow homeowners to continue living independently, benefiting not only the homeowner, but the neighborhood and the community.
