Toss the Snow: Senior Community Services

November 16, 2015

in Age Groups, Ages 12 and under, Ages 12+, Ages 16+, Ages 18+, Seniors

Develop strong muscles by shoveling the snow off a grateful senior citizen’s walkways and driveway. Adopt a yard until the weather warms. Shovel after each snowfall (2 inches or more) of an elderly resident in Minneapolis & Suburban Hennepin County. You’ll need to bring your own shovel or snow-blower but the resident will provide the warm smile. Work with a partner and you can take turns shoveling. Family teams and small groups welcome; youth must be age 7 or older and supervised by an adult. Exact location TBD in Minneapolis & Hennepin County Suburbs, depends upon where the senior citizen resides.  If a senior needs snow shoveling, they should call 952-746-4046 to register.

NOTE: Requires background check, season-long winter commitment.
