Ages 12 and under

There are several ways you can become a Cheerful Giver. Learn more about the different ways below.

Hold A Birthday Bag Blast

A Birthday Bag Blast is a great activity at family gatherings and also supports your community. It makes a great birthday party activity for children or adults while making happiness happen for families in need. It can also be done in conjunction with your Thanksgiving celebration or any other holiday.

Many organizations hold a Birthday Bag Blast to provide a hands-on volunteer opportunity that impacts their community. Examples of those who successfully use this activity include Corporate teams, school groups, confirmation classes, boy and girl scout groups, neighborhood and women’s groups.

Join The Birthday Club

For as little as $10 a month you can provide 12 less fortunate children with a birthday gift through the year. To join the Birthday Club, visit our Donate page

Home Instead Senior Care partners with local non-profit and community organizations to identify seniors who might not otherwise receive gifts this holiday season. The company then works with local businesses and retail stores to help facilitate the purchase and distribution of gifts by placing trees and ornaments within their various locations. Each senior’s gift requests are written on a Be a Santa to a Senior bulb.

  • Community Dinner: Prepare and serve a meal to Neighborhood Program residents. Sponsor is responsible for setup and cleanup.
  • Help sort through donated school supplies and pack up grade-specific bags of supplies for our youth. Shifts available in August. Middle school, high school and adults welcome.
  • Volunteer at the annual school supply distribution and resource fair! Adults welcome.
  • Volunteer at our Holiday Gift Program registration to help families check in, sign up and record their family’s gift ideas for the sponsorship program. October. Adults welcome.

The food shelf is the core of PRISM’s programming, and it can only run smoothly with a fantastic team of volunteers. Receive, sort, and stock incoming food, provide housekeeping, and assist with other tasks as needed. There is something for everyone in the food shelf!
