Over 200,000 children in the state of Minnesota live in food insecurity and do not always know when they will receive their next meal. The Sheridan Story’s purpose is to respond to this need by closing the weekend food gap between Friday and Monday, when children are not able to participate in the free or reduced meal programs at school.

The Sheridan Story is starting a new produce garden, “Grow & Give”, which will significantly expand the amount of produce they are able to provide to children and families who need it. You can help by growing and donating food from your garden. Check here for the types of produce to donate as well as other produce donation tips.

You can make a difference and have a direct impact on local child hunger!
