Hammer is a non-profit that supports individuals with developmental disabilities. We are looking for individuals and families who like to have fun. Volunteers can host a pizza and movie night, game night, arts and crafts, or a variety of other activities in one of our homes. Volunteers will build a rapport and spend quality time with those we serve. When and how long you volunteer will be based on your personal schedule. This is a great way to give back to those in your community.

Provide one-on-one companionship to an individual with developmental disabilities. Provide support, guidance, and friendship to an individual who shares similar interests. A chance to give back to your community while having fun at the same time! Meet with the individual you are matched with about once a month or more frequently if time allows. The two of you can decide what you would like to do with your time together. Example of activities include, but are not limited to: movies, concerts, going out to eat, walks in the park, biking, musicals, music events, shopping, hanging out, craft projects, and sporting events. Plymouth, Eden Prairie, Crystal, New Hope, Wayzata, Maple Grove, Golden Valley, St. Louis Park, and Minnetonka locations. Contact: cthoma@hammer.org
